National University Championships

National University Championships is intervarsity sports biggest event of the year where universities from around Australia battle it out in a wide variety of sports.
Team UTS has an established history of performing well at the athletics at National University Championships each year. Team UTS has been a top 3 team for years, and took out the male category in 2016, 2017 and 2021, as well as the overall champions crown in 2017 and 2021.
The 2024 National University Championships will take place in Runaway Bay from April 24th - 26th.
This is the best time to meet other student athletes studying at UTS and make new friends and training partners.
Distance Running - Combined with some of Australia's best fun runs, the Distance Running Championships give you a chance to represent your university and score points for its overall placing. In 2024, the Distance Running Championships will be held as part of the Sydney Running Festival (Blackmores) on Sunday 15th September. Both the Half-Marathon and the Marathon will be contested.
