UTS Events/Competition
-
Athletics is conducted all year round but the types of events and competitions vary throughout.
-
A standard athletics season in Australia starts in October and ends the September of the following year - so one season is conducted over one summer.
-
October - March is where the majority of track and field competitions take place with the NSW Summer Series taking place along with State and National Championships.
-
The NSW Summer Series is the interclub based competition which the majority of NSW Athletes compete in. It includes traditional style athletics carnivals with a range of track and field events so you can run, throw and jump for the club.
-
From April onwards through winter, there is a greater emphasis on long distance running, road running, cross country and marathon running. Including the associated State and National Championships for those events.

The club also hosts its own competition throughout the summer and is called Northern Zone. It is a competition aimed at recreational level athletes and those wanting to learn the basics of athletics.
