What an outstanding performance by our club members at the Balmoral Burn 2025! With eleven of our athletes taking to the start line, we had fantastic representation across multiple categories and some truly impressive results to celebrate.
Elite Category Dominance
Our Elite category runners delivered exceptional performances, with incredibly tight competition at the front of the field. Leading the charge was Mason Cohen, who secured an outstanding 2nd place overall with a brilliant time of 01:21.1. Hot on his heels was Luke Murphy in 3rd place (01:21.9), followed by Ashton Hanna in 5th place (01:22.9) – an incredible spread of just 1.8 seconds between our top three male Elite runners!
Our female Elite athletes also delivered strong performances. Alma Robb led the way as 3rd Elite female with an excellent time of 01:41.2, while Matilda Ryan (01:49.0) and Jasmin Guthrie (01:50.9) showed great determination to finish 4th and 5th in the Elite female category respectively. Alice Dixon rounded out our Elite contingent with a solid 02:00.8 performance.
Age Group Excellence
Our age group competitors showed the depth and breadth of talent within our club. Chris Todd took top honours in the 5059 categories, claiming 1st place, while Ron Ross secured 4th place in the competitive 6069 division. Special recognition goes to Ron Shoesmith, who dominated the 70+ category with a strong performance that showcased the enduring spirit of our master athletes.
Club Pride
With an 11-strong contingent representing our colours, we showed excellent club spirit and depth across all age categories. From our speedsters in the Elite field to our experienced campaigners in the masters’ divisions, every member contributed to what was a memorable day of racing.
Congratulations to all our participants – you've done the club proud!
