Welcome to the club nomination page for the NSW State Relay Championships at Sydney Olympic Park

We're excited to have you join us for this fantastic day of team competition! Here's everything you need to know to make it a great experience:

Getting There & Arrival
The championships are being held at Blacktown, so please plan your travel time accordingly and aim to arrive with plenty of time to spare. We ask all athletes to check in with your team convener at least 1 hour before your scheduled event – this helps us keep everything running smoothly!

Stay Connected
Make sure you've joined our WhatsApp competition group to follow along with the club spirit, get real-time updates, and share in the excitement of the day!

Team Formation
We'll do our absolute best to ensure you compete in your own age group. If numbers don't quite work out, we'll try to form teams in the age group above where it's safe and appropriate to do so. Early communication is key – please let us know about your wellbeing and whereabouts so we can make this an inclusive and fun day out for everyone!

Important Rules to Know

Multi-Club Athletes:
If you're registered with two clubs, you're welcome to compete for both at the championships – just note that you can't compete for both clubs in the same relay event.

Marshalling Times:
- Track events: All four team members must report to the marshalling area at the finish line 15 minutes before your scheduled start time
- Field events: All athletes must report to the designated field event site 20 minutes before your scheduled start time (there's no central marshalling area for field events)

Field Event Details:

Team Sizes:
- 13s, 14s, 15s, and 16-17s: Teams have three (3) members (NEW! - Adopted from Little Athletics Relay format)
- Open and Masters: Teams have four (4) members

- Athletes' names must be declared for field events (follow the processes on the website and entry guidelines)
- Open and Masters field teams are ranked by total distance/height of all four members
- Youth age groups (13s-17s) in throws and jumps are ranked using the Alberta Youth point score
- Each athlete gets three (3) trials (except High Jump)
- You can only compete in one discipline within a field relay (for example: High Jump OR Long Jump OR Triple Jump)

No Need to Check In Teams:
Once you're entered, teams are automatically confirmed – our club managers will handle any withdrawals through the Technical Information Centre if needed.
