Position Descriptions
President: Chair meetings and represent the club, provide leadership and strategic direction, liaise with external bodies and stakeholders, ensure compliance with constitution and regulations.
Vice President: Support the President in their duties, chair meetings in President's absence, lead specific projects as assigned, assist with club representation.
Secretary: Maintain club records and correspondence, prepare and distribute meeting minutes, handle membership administration, manage official club communications.
Treasurer: Manage club finances and banking, prepare financial reports and budgets, oversee accounts payable/receivable, ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Registrar: Manage athlete registrations and competition entries, maintain athlete records and rankings, liaise with Athletics NSW and other governing bodies, coordinate competition logistics and entry processes.
Committee Members: Participate in committee meetings and decisions, take on specific portfolios (competition, coaching, social, etc.), support club activities and events, represent member interests.
Important Notes
Financial Membership: All nominees, proposers, and seconders must be financial members.
Multiple Positions: You may nominate for multiple positions but can only hold one executive position.
Late Nominations: May only be accepted from the floor on the night if no nominations received for a position.
Withdrawal: Nominees may withdraw their nomination up to 24 hours before the AGM.
Election Process: If positions are contested, voting will occur by secret ballot at the AGM.
