Registration  for the 2021-22 Season

November 01, 2021

As advised by ANSW, UTSN is very pleased to be able to open registrations for our members on Monday 11 October 2021.

However, we must advise our members that whilst the current Covid restrictions are in place, UTSN is not able to offer any competition or club training opportunities as our venue (Rotary Athletics Field) is currently not available to us, and we are unable to monitor compliance with Public Health Orders.

We hope that if current NSW vaccination targets are reached as planned, we will be able to recommence training bookings and possibly even Northern Zone competitions sometime soon after 1 December 2021.

In the meantime, however, other clubs and ANSW may be offering some competition opportunities earlier than 1 December, and to make sure that you are informed about these and are able to participate you will need to have completed your registration.

If you have any questions, or need a new UTSN Competition uniform, please don’t hesitate to contact us on info@utsnorthsath.com.au

Annual membership to UTS Northern Suburbs Athletic Club covers the period 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022.

The 1 October to 30 September time frame covers both the Summer and Winter season.

The 1 April to 30 September time frame covers Winter season only (RunNSW category).

State Relays - Plenty of Medals

November 26, 2021

Despite lower registrations post lockdown and lower entries, UTS Norths athletes still managed to win a handsome total of 42 medals at the NSW Relay Championships over a damp weekend at SOPAC.

14 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze medals were won with a large number of these medals by our traditionally strong Masters age group.

In the open division, the Men’s 4 x 400m team of Keegan Bell, Alex Pettigrew, Matt Crowe and Thomas Glascott ran superbly in the rain to win Gold.

Special mention to the gold medal Under 14 girls team consisting of Grace Townsend, Catherine Mikan, Hanna Day and Erin Blayney who broke the club record by a terrific 32cm set in 2007. Hanna was a late addition to the team and did very well with little long jumping experience. The under 14 boys long jump also broke the club record. The boys team who won a silver medal consisted of Cadel Holmes, Jude Lumley, Jimmy Thebridge and Kai Zhe Tan who broke the previous record by 4 cm set in 2008. Thank you to coach Ryan Dowling for his guidance of the team.

A big thank you to all team managers, club administrators, coaches and parents for organising and helping to make all this all happen.
