About and Experience
Ben Liddy is an experienced middle and long-distance coach with a strong background as both an athlete and high-performance coach. As an athlete, Ben was a national 1500m finalist and achieved impressive personal best performances across events ranging from 800m through to 10km.
Ben is the former physiotherapist for the Australian Junior Track and Field Team and brings together his expertise in coaching, sports science, and physiotherapy to support athlete development and performance. He coaches a successful group of middle-distance and 400m athletes, including World Championships representative Georgia Winkcup (3000m Steeplechase PB 9:37.43), World University Games representatives Mason Cohen (800m PB 1:46.52), Jye Perrott (800m PB 1:46.93), and Alexandra Bartholomew (400m PB 54.24), along with many other state and national-level athletes.
Ben has also coached middle and long-distance programs at Barker College and Queenwood Girls School, helping develop athletes across school, club, and high-performance pathways.
His athletes continue to achieve at the highest levels, with Luke Van Ratingen and Matt Hunt selected to represent Australia at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

- Rotary Athletics Field: Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (year-round)
- Macquarie Hospital & Centennial Park: Saturday, 8:30 am
