Paul Switzer

IAAF qualified Coach - Hurdles, Middle Distance, Cross Country and Sprints


Paul is a full time professional IAAF level 3 coach of hurdles, middle distance, sprint, and cross country athletes. He is experienced at developing young athletes from beginner level to National level through the design of customised personal development programs and recently completed his international IAAF coaching course in sprints and hurdles to complement his Australian Track & Field Coaches Association qualifications. 


His current squad has a number of up and coming 400m and hurdles athletes. It includes Bryce Collins (2014 World Junior Championship semi finalist, NSW Open Champion and four time Australian Junior Champion in the 400hurdles) who Paul has coached for 8 years, Olivia Cason (2016 World Junior Championships 4 x400 relay team, Australian U20 400m bronze medallist and NSW U20 400m Champion), Oliver Moore (NSW U20 3000m Steeplechase Champion), Joseph Whelan (100/200 athlete at NSW Open titles), and several junior gold, silver and bronze medallists in NSW and Australian teams for National Track & Field and Cross Country Championships. 


In the past, Paul has coached many other athletes to national and international level competition such including Matt Crowe and Ben Mackay to international competitions such as the Oceania Championships. He coaches at both Rotary Field Chatswood and Narrabeen Track.  


Training is provided and available most days of the week.
