NSW Club Championships, NSW Combined Event Championships & NSW 10,000m Walk Championships

Competition Status:
These events are permitted by Athletics Australia (AA). An AA permit allows athletes to qualify for international events and break state and/ or national records.
Eligibility:
Athletes must be registered with an Athletics NSW affiliated club for the 2014/15 season. If you are not currently registered with a club you can register online here.
Uniforms:
Registered Athletics NSW club members must wear their correct club uniform. Athletes must have their Athletics NSW 2014-15 registration numbers attached on the front and back (except in pole vault and high jump events).

On the Day Check-in:
All athletes in TRACK events must report to athlete check in to advise of their intention to compete at least sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled starting time of the event.
Athletes entered in FIELD events only, are not required to report to athlete check in. Instead, field event athletes must report directly to the field event site at least twenty (20) minutes before the scheduled start time.
NSW Club Championships
Events will be held in the following age groups: U14, U17, U20, Open, 30+ Masters, 50+ Masters.
Online entry costs $10 per athlete, for unlimited events. Entries close at midnight on Tuesday 6th January 2015.
Day 1
100, 400, 1500, Distance Hurdles, 4x 100 Relay, Steeplechase, Discus, Javelin, Triple Jump, and High Jump.
Day 2
200, 800, 3000, 5000, Sprint Hurdles, 1500/3000/5000 Walk, Shot Put, Hammer Throw, Pole Vault, and Long Jump.
NSW Combined Event Championships
The NSW Combined Event Championships is conducted in the Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, Under 20, Open, 30+ and 50+ age categories.
Ages for all under age and open age groups are determined by age of the athlete on the 31st December 2015. Masters ages are determined as at the first day of competition, the 10th January 2015.
Entry costs $25. Online entry closes at midnight on Tuesday 6th January 2015.

NSW 10,000m Walk Championships
The NSW 10,000m Walk Championships will be held in the Open age group, incorporating the Under 20 age group. Athletes are eligible to win both the Open and Under 20 medal.
Entry costs $20. Online entry closes at midnight on Tuesday 6th January 2015.

2015 Illawarra Track Classic

Venue: Beaton Park Athletic Centre, Wollongong
The Illawarra Track Classic is a new event offered by Athletics NSW in conjunction with Illawarra Blue Stars. Entry is open to all NSW registered athletes. Track events will be seeded in to A, B, C races etc. We anticipate strong competitive fields especially the 1 mile championship races that has a prize pool of $2000 dollars.

Illawarra Blue Stars Events
IBS 60m Masters Races - IBS medals will be awarded in the 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ age groups.
All track events will be open seeded races split into male and female divisions. Field events will be mixed gender and split into divisions based on ability. After entries have closed competition management will confirm who is in what division.

On the day entry is available but not guaranteed and will only be offered in events if there is sufficient space as determined by the ANSW Competition Manager. On the day entry will incur a higher fee of $35 for NSW Championship events and $20 for Classic events. On the day entry must be completed one (1) hour prior to the athlete’s first event.

To all athletes competing out at the Club Championships, Multi Event and State Walks this weekend, a few points to remember.
-
All the competitions are held at the Warm Up Track next to SOPAC. This is due to Asia Cup and other events on at Olympic Park.
-
There is not much shelter so UTS Norths will have 2 or 3 tents there, so look out for them.
-
It will be hot, so bring lots of water and sunscreen. There will be one canteen there to purchase refreshments
-
There is a lot on at Olympic Park this weekend so allow plenty of time for parking
-
Team managers are Peter and Ross Douglas. 4 x 100m open relays please report to them when you arrive at track

Arrive 60 minutes before your first event

Field reporting at start is 20 minutes before event start time

There is not much seating so bring fold up chairs
